Initial appointment
During the initial appointment, we will discuss about your full history as I would need to know you as well as possible in order to identify your difficulties, advise on the best management options and devise a treatment plan with you. Please bring any documents that you think could help me in making a formulation about your difficulties (medical reports, previous prescriptions for example).
If you are late arriving, you will only be able to be seen until the original planned ending time.
Follow up appointment
It will take place every two to four weeks, more or less frequently according to your needs. Follow up appointments can be done over the phone or with video conference if you prefer.
If you are late arriving, you will only be able to be seen until the original planned ending time.
Missed appointments: If an appointment is missed or you do not give two working days notice, you will be liable for the full cost of the appointment.
Tests: Whilst under my care you may need certain tests (such as blood tests or imaging, for example an X-ray, MRI or CT scan) to help me diagnose your condition. If the test is undertaken by a clinic or hospital, the fees for these tests will be determined by the clinic or hospital and charged to you, or your private medical insurer, separately. If you prefer, I am happy to write to your GP to advise them to do these tests. It will be at their discretion to agree to do them or not within the NHS.
Prescription: I can provide a private prescription on the day or if you prefer I am happy to write to your GP to advise on the best medication so they can provide you with an NHS prescription.
Private medical insurance : If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees.
